The retirement plan is the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System (TCRS) for eligible, full-time employees. DCEA and the employee each contribute toward the employee's retirement. For more information on this plan, you may refer to Introduction to Your TCRS Retirement, or to the TCRS website, treasury.tn.gov/tcrs/.

TCRS now has your retirement information on line. You may access your account at mytcrs.tn.gov/. Click on this link Member Self-Service Guide, to learn how to log into your account. You may select a beneficiary, change your address, check your account on line and do many other things.

ALL Douglas-Cherokee employees are eligible to participate in the State of Tennessee 401(k) savings plan. Any employee, no matter how many hours you work, is eligible to join. The main purpose of the 401(k) is to help you save and invest for retirement. When you make regular payroll deductions over a long period of time, your contributions can really add up, thanks to compounding- gaining earnings on what you may have already earned, as well as on your intitial contributions. Your State of Tennessee 401(k) Deferred Compensation Program is not a short-term savings account. Many financial experts suggest setting aside a separate emergency fund for unexpected expenses. Bear in mind, the Deferred Compensation Program has a long-term horizon as a retirment savings plan.

Quick and Easy Enrollment: A few simple steps and you're on your way to investing in your State of Tennessee 401(k) Deferred Compensation Program.
