Job Title: Certified Teacher Tutor

Program: 21st CCLC and LEAP
Job Description: Assists Site Coordinator in planning and conducting after school tutorial activities following program guidelines and protocol. Provides continuous feedback of student’s success/weakness. Delivers programs and services on schedule and in a manner which effectively motivates changes in students/adults and promotes favorable attitudes. Maintains on-going working relationships with teachers of school children to ascertain academic and social skill weaknesses. Conducts on-going working relationships with teachers of enrolled students to ascertain academic and social skill weaknesses. Is non-judgmental and has a respect and understanding of the Appalachian and/or Hispanic culture as relevant to target group.
Education/Experience Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in education with State Certification in Elementary Education. A minimum of two years teaching experience preferred. Ability to work effectively with principals, teachers, program staff, volunteers, parents and students. Must have valid Tennessee driver’s license and proof of liability insurance on automobile.
Hours and Benefits: Part-time; non-exempt.
